Field Explorer
Every target, carry and pass for every NFL player, on the field. Filter by week, down, distance, field position, score, clock, play action, blitz and more, then read the splits and every play behind them.
How the Field Explorer works
Every play comes from nflverse play-by-play, the free public record of every NFL snap. A target or pass sits at its real depth (air yards) on the side the play-by-play gives it: left, middle or right. Plays are spread within their side so they don’t stack, so a dot’s exact spot across the field is not its tracked location. Carries run through the gap the play-by-play records (end, tackle, guard or middle) and end at the yards they gained.
- Play action, defenders in the box, blitzers, motion, drops and contested targets come from FTN charting, which runs a few days behind the games.
- 2025 adds the route on every target and the coverage (man or zone, and the shell) from nflverse participation data. Those arrive for 2026 after the season.
- EPA is expected points added: how much a play changed the offense’s expected points. Catch odds and expected yards after the catch are the nflverse models.
- Regular season only. Two-point tries, kneel-downs, spikes and plays wiped out by penalty are left out, so totals can differ by a play or two from box scores.
2026 on the field, through Week 7
Every target, carry and pass in the 2026 NFL season, charted from nflverse play-by-play: where each target went (depth and side), what each carry did by run gap, and how each throw landed. Pick a player above for his target map, carry chart, pass chart and splits by down, distance, field position, score and clock.
